The Montreal Saints defeated the Cleveland Foresters, 13-7. Doing his part was shortstop Bill Elkins, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Montreal, at 63-68, holds down 5th place in the Continental Association.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Walter Medlin to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Saints on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning never gets old," said Medlin.
