Saints Rally Late to Nip Foresters
The Montreal Saints beat the Cleveland Foresters, 10-9, at Forester Stadium. Montreal center fielder Joe Austin had an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. Ken Crossley sewed up the save, his 3rd. Montreal is now 62-68, Cleveland 76-55.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Walter Medlin to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Saints on top, 10-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Ugly win or not, we'll take it," said Austin.
