| Saints Tagged with 3-1 Loss | In a low-scoring contest, Dallas pitcher Charlie Mills was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Mills picked up the win for Dallas, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-8. Hank Berkowitz finished the game for Dallas and earned his 12th save.
Harry Clay drove in one run for Dallas. The 30-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jim Montgomery. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"We had a good game plan," Mills said, "and we were able to execute it."
The 9th-place Wranglers own a record of 33-69.
