Foresters Take Down Sailors, 6-5
The Cleveland Foresters defeated the San Francisco Sailors, 6-5, in Continental Association action at Forester Stadium. Cleveland pitcher Hugh Blumenthal had a standout performance. Hank Berkowitz, who leads the CA in saves with 22, picked up the win in relief. Duke Bybee took the loss for San Francisco. Cleveland is now 74-54.

Frenchy Sonntag was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Foresters center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I always try to stay as positive and as mentally strong as possible because I know how crazy this game can be," said Sonntag.
