| Saints Drop Foresters, 7-2 | The Montreal Saints beat the Cleveland Foresters, 7-2. Montreal pitcher and New York, native Phil Murry led the way. The victory puts Montreal at 41-63.
Art Robbins had a big solo home run for the Saints in the top of the sixth inning. With Montreal leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Marty Czyzewski and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Saints ahead, 4-2.
"Phil throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Montreal manager Johnny Gilbert.
