| New York Dismisses Dallas, 7-2 | The New York Imperials picked up a win at Norris Stadium, downing the Dallas Wranglers, 7-2. On the mound for New York was right-hander Milt Lane, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lane yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 5, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. The win gives the Imperials a record of 11-38.
New York used a well-timed hit by Jim Lang to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Imperials ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
