Foresters shortstop Herb Reed put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Montreal Saints. Reed was 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI for Cleveland in the contest. Reliever Harry Tracy picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Jerry Duncan took the loss. With the win, Cleveland raised its record to 53-50.

The Foresters got a clutch hit from third baseman Gene Curtis. In the bottom of the 14th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Foresters.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Curtis.
