Minutemen Win at Philadelphia, 7-5 | The Boston Minutemen overcame a pretty good performance by Philadelphia third baseman Lloyd Coulter, beating the Keystones, 7-5, at Broad Street Park II. Coulter was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Steve Talley closed it out for Boston, earning his 1st save. The victory makes Boston 5-4.
Boston used a well-timed hit by Pat Todd to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Todd. "It sure beats the alternative." | |
