| Millers Lick Minutemen, 12-2 | The Minneapolis Millers handed the Boston Minutemen a sound defeat, 12-2, at Minuteman Stadium. Joe Cahill was a main contributor to the win. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Minneapolis. Ed Power got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2. The loss drops the Minutemen to 4-3.
The Millers benefited from an error in the top of the second inning. Minneapolis was leading 2-0 when Monty Brown hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Minneapolis in front, 4-0.
"We hit the ball hard," said Minneapolis manager Frank Vance. "Line drive after line drive."
