Boston Drops Another One, 4-2 | Washington Eagles starter Bob Ball turned in a top-notch performance against the Boston Minutemen at Columbia Stadium. The result was a win for the Eagles, 4-2. Ball, now 6-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. The Eagles have an impressive 22-13 record.
George Whaley, who is on pace for 148 RBI this season, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4.
