Foresters Improve to 21-15 with 5-2 Win | The Cleveland Foresters beat the Los Angeles Stars, 5-2. Cleveland pitcher and Rochester, New York, native Sibby Smith led the way. Smith picked up the win for Cleveland, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Cleveland now has a record of 21-15 with the win.
Cleveland third baseman Jerry Hubbs contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 4-1.
