The Montreal Saints had to overcome a big game from Chicago center fielder Frank Reece to leave Cougars Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Reece was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Tommy Seymour, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Earning his 4th save for Montreal was James Griffin.

Joe Austin drove in one run against the Cougars. With the game tied in the top of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Montreal in front, 5-4.

Said Montreal manager Tom Paul: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."

The Saints sit in third place in the Continental Association with a record of 22-20.
