Los Angeles Beats Seattle in Extra Innings
Bennie Griffith was a major factor in the 7-6 Los Angeles win over Seattle. The Knights left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Los Angeles reliever Chick Pappalardo got the win, raising his record to 6-3. Bill Beaudry was tagged with the loss. Los Angeles has now won 5 straight.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the 12th, with Los Angeles trailing 6-5, Ernie Clayton jumped on a first pitch fastball from Bill Beaudry for a 2-run home run, sending the Knights to a walk-off win.

Clayton described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
