Portland center fielder Bobby Boone contributed to his team's 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Knights. Boone, who is tied for 9th in the GWL in total bases with 129, went 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Green Sox. The winner was Del Burns, who threw 122 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits. Kid Campbell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

Portland used the clutch hitting of Hub Parks to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Green Sox the lead, 4-2. For the game, Parks had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
