Millers Lose to Minutemen, 3-1 | Minuteman Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Minneapolis Millers and Boston Minutemen.
The Boston Minutemen earned a close win over the Minneapolis Millers, thanks in part to Don Griffin. The Boston right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the FA in saves with 6, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Picking up the save was Carl Potter, his 2nd.
Boston took the lead, 3-1, on Frank Kirouac's 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Minneapolis pitcher Dan Charlton in the bottom of the seventh.
Kirouac attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Minutemen now have a record of 27-32. | |
