The Houston Bulls and Dallas Centurions provided some drama for the home crowd.

Behind the hitting of Bud Miller, the Dallas Centurions stopped the Houston Bulls, 5-4. Miller was 1-3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Centurions. The Centurions saw their win-loss record go to 29-32. At the same time, the Bulls fell to 42-21.

Al Gross, the 30-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gross contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Dallas up, 5-4.
