The Los Angeles Knights overcame a good performance by San Francisco right fielder Bob Land to knock off San Francisco, 9-7, at Hawks Stadium. Land went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Chick Pappalardo. He is now 5-3. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. Karl Wallace earned the save, his 2nd.

Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Ernesto Perez to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Knights the lead, 8-7. For the game, Perez had 1 single and 2 doubles in 6 at-bats.
