The Houston Bulls beat the San Francisco Hawks, 6-4, at Bulls Stadium. Houston catcher Dave Doolittle had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Bulls have an impressive 33-14 record.

In the bottom of the seventh, Houston starting pitcher Bunny Edwards hit a two-strike curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It put the Bulls up, 2-1.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Doolittle said. "And the same is true when you lose."
