| Hawks Slip Past Los Angeles, 3-2 | San Francisco got a strong outing from Mike Milne as the Hawks defeated the Los Angeles Knights, 3-2, at Knights Stadium. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Los Angeles.
San Francisco used a clutch hit from Orlin Yates to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was just a matter of executing," said San Francisco manager Billy Rose.
