| Bulls Stay Hot, Beat Thunderbirds, 6-0 | The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
Houston Bulls starter Bunny Edwards hurled his team past the Seattle Thunderbirds, 6-0. In 6.2 innings, Edwards surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from shortstop Hal Landrum. For the game, Landrum went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Houston a 3-0 lead.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Landrum after the game.
Houston is now 29-13, 4 games up in the Great Western League.
