Bulls Drop 3-2 Decision
The San Francisco Hawks picked up a win at Hawks Stadium, knocking off the Houston Bulls, 3-2. Starting pitcher Charlie Sutton played a key role in the triumph. Sutton went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-2. Hugh Schneider finished the game for San Francisco and earned his 3rd save.

Had Woody Stone not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Stone hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hawks.

Sutton told a San Francisco News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The win puts San Francisco at 13-9.
