Centurions Take Nail-Biter Over Hawks
The Dallas Centurions got a magnificent performance from pitcher Ed Brown, who muffled the San Francisco offense en route to a tight 2-1 Centurions win at Centurions Ballpark. The win lifts Dallas to a record of 9-8.

The clutch hit was provided by Ken Mayhugh. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Mike Milne in the bottom of the tenth.

Afterward, Centurions manager Brooks Meeks was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
