| Dynamos Raise Rally Flag, Beat New York, 5-3 | The Detroit Dynamos stopped the New York Gothams, 5-3, at Gotham Stadium. The Dynamos got a big game from Bill Morrison, who slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Detroit is now 18-9.
Morrison had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 splitter from Bill Howard, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Dynamos a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Morrison.
"We ground out the win," said Morrison. "That's all that matters."
