Big Day for Hackberry in 9-1 Dynamos Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 1947 Kellogg Award winner Edwin Hackberry, the Detroit Dynamos stopped the Pittsburgh Miners, 9-1. Joe Hancock went 9 innings for Detroit to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 1 run. He scattered 2 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record improves to 4-1. With the win, Detroit pushed its record to 20-14.
