Cleveland first baseman Lorenzo Samuels picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Montreal Saints, 7-6. Cleveland reliever Augie Hayes Jr. was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was James Griffin. The Foresters bumped their record to 19-12 with this win.

George Brown drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Cleveland. The 27-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off James Griffin. It was his 5th walk of the season.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Brown.
