Gothams Earn 7-4 Home Win | Isaiah Redbird left his imprint on the 7-4 New York win against the Boston Minutemen. Redbird, who is tied for 7th in the FA in extra base hits with 20, was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Red Blanchard, who is tied for 2nd in the FA in wins with 7, was the winner. He's now 7-1. The loser was George Kollock. Getting the save was Bill Howard, his 9th.
New York took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Redbird hit a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season made the score 6-4, New York.
New York manager Bert Carlton was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
