Cannons Defeat Saints, 7-1 | Fans who congregated at Parc Cartier II were treated to extra-inning drama.
The Cincinnati Cannons clipped the Montreal Saints, 7-1, in 12 innings at Parc Cartier II. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and West Chicago, Illinois, native Barney Robinson. Cincinnati sits at 13-12 in the early going.
Cincinnati needed the clutch hitting of Happy Wright to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cannons on top, 2-1. For the game, Wright had 1 home run and 2 singles in 3 at-bats.
