Minutemen Dealt 4-2 Loss by Detroit
Detroit and Boston duked it out and the Dynamos came out victorious.

Detroit Dynamos pitcher Paul Anderson whisked his team past the Boston Minutemen, 4-2. Getting the save was Earl Shields, his 2nd.

Cecil Gregg, who finished 3rd in the FA in extra base hits with 71 last year, aided the Detroit cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Bottom line," said Boston skipper Bill Freeman, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Dynamos, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
