The Boston Minutemen locked up a win at Fitzpatrick Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Miners, 7-0. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Max Edwards. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Edwards. He threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Joe Quade. Today's win puts Boston at 55-69, while Pittsburgh falls to 69-55.

With Boston leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Edwards hit a 2-run single off Pittsburgh hurler Joe Quade. It was the 10th hit of the season for Edwards and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"I thought Max threw the ball well across the board," said Boston manager Harry Barrell.
