At Dominion Stadium, the Toronto Wolves and Cleveland Foresters were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Cleveland starter Sibby Smith pitched well against the Toronto Wolves at Dominion Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-4. Smith got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 4 runs.

Hal Kennedy, who finished 3rd in the CA in on-base percentage with .429 in 1958, aided the Cleveland cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.

"It's a mindset," said Smith. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
