Late Rally Earns Chicago 4-2 Win | Getting an impressive start from Al Miller, Chicago beat Pittsburgh by the score of 4-2. The Chiefs saw their win-loss record go to 63-59. At the same time, the Miners fell to 69-54.
Chicago went up, 4-2, on Pete Casstevens's 17th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Casstevens hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Pittsburgh pitcher Jim Baker muttering to himself.
"I was able to miss barrels for the most part and the guys behind me made plays," said Miller. | |
