Foresters Drop Wolves, 8-2
The Cleveland Foresters beat the Toronto Wolves, 8-2. Cleveland pitcher and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native Adrian Czerwinski led the way. Czerwinski got the win, improving to 13-11. He gave up 10 hits and walked 5 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Cleveland raised its record to 73-50.

The Wolves had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Foresters going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old left fielder Tom Carr came to the plate. Carr hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 splitter from Toronto hurler William Benns. It was Carr's 11th double of the year.

Carr called the win "a collective effort."
