The San Francisco Sailors picked up a win at Stade Montreal, knocking off the Montreal Saints, 6-2. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Hank Lacey. He played a key role in the triumph. The win takes San Francisco to 12-9.
Ham Flanders could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Montreal trailing 6-1, Montreal had the bases loaded. That's when Flanders grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. San Francisco would go on to win the game. | |
