Los Angeles second baseman Ed Howard contributed significantly to his team's 16-7 win over the Cleveland Foresters. Howard went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Stars. Dewey Allcock earned the win for Los Angeles. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 5-2. The win for the Stars lifted their record to 58-35.

Howard had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Stars went on to win.
