Cougars Get Extra-Inning, 5-4 Win
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Chicago Cougars and New York Imperials.

The Chicago Cougars wiggled past the New York Imperials, 5-4, at Dyckman Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Hank Walker. Chicago reliever Bob Burdick picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Pepper Swanson was tagged with the loss.

William Buttry came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Buttry.

Chicago, now 19-9, has played well in the early going.
