5-1 Win Takes Stars to 55-33 | Los Angeles used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dewey Allcock to down the Dallas Wranglers, 5-1. The second-place Stars have won 5 consecutive games.
Bobby Garrison had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Butch Abrams and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 4-0.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Los Angeles manager Charley McCullough. | |
