Watson Swings Cougars to 12-6 Win
The Chicago Cougars reigned over the Cincinnati Cannons in damp conditions.

The Chicago Cougars beat the Cincinnati Cannons by a score of 12-6. Chicago right fielder Henry Watson deserved the lion's share of the credit. Watson was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Cougars. The win puts Chicago at 50-36 this season.

With Chicago leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Watson hit a changeup from Charlie Warren for a grand slam home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 6-1.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Watson told the Chicago Chronicle.
