Saints Lose By a Run at Chicago
The Chicago Cougars picked up a win at Cougars Park, knocking off the Montreal Saints, 4-3. Starting pitcher Hank Walker was a big reason why. Pug White recorded the save, his 14th. Chicago goes to 49-36, Montreal to 36-52.

Henry Watson had a big 2-run home run for the Cougars in the bottom of the first inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from Phil Murry, who finished 4th in the CA in wins with 18 in 1957, and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the Cougars on top, 4-0.

"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Walker.
