| Pioneers Drop Suns, 3-2 | In a low-scoring tilt between the St. Louis Pioneers and the Los Angeles Suns, Steve Madden, who is tied for 5th in the FA with a 1.18 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The St. Louis right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Earning his 15th save for St. Louis was John Gibson. St. Louis, at 56-26, is cruising.
Danny Davis, who is tied for 7th in the FA in hits with 108, had a direct impact on the outcome. Davis contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put St. Louis up, 3-1.
