Kings Win at Cleveland, 5-2 | At Forester Stadium, the Cleveland Foresters and Kansas City Kings were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Kansas City starter Allie Boone pitched well against the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Del Lamb earned save number 10 this season.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Bob Burge to capture the win. The catcher socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kings ahead, 5-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Burge told the Kansas City Observer.
The Kings lead the Continental Association by 3½ games. | |
