Wranglers Suffer One-Run Loss at Kansas City | Kansas City picked up a win at Prairie Park, bumping off the Dallas Wranglers, 6-5. Pitcher Curly Anderson was a major reason the Kings emerged victorious. Anderson picked up the win for Kansas City, going 8 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The save went to Del Lamb, number 3 for him.
Kansas City took the lead, 6-5, on Hank Williams's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Dallas pitcher Gene Amico in the bottom of the seventh.
"Curly gave us a heck of an effort," said Kansas City manager Glenn Carney.
The Kings, now 10-4, have played some good baseball in the early going. | |
