San Francisco Dismisses Dallas, 13-9
In a high-scoring contest between San Francisco and Dallas, first baseman Ray Rogan was a difference-maker. Rogan, who finished 4th in the CA in doubles with 34 in 1956, distinguished himself in the 13-9 San Francisco win. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Charlie Lawson was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was fan favorite Hank Berkowitz. With the win, San Francisco goes to 4-7.

With San Francisco leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Rogan hit a 2-run single off Dallas hurler Hank Berkowitz. It was the 11th hit of the season for Rogan and put his team ahead, 4-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rogan told a San Francisco Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
