Cannons Bridle Foresters, 4-3 | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cincinnati Cannons and Cleveland Foresters.
The Cincinnati Cannons scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. Cincinnati pitcher Eddie Martin held his own in the contest. Cincinnati has now won 3 straight, while the Foresters have lost 3 in a row.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Bonnie Chapin to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cannons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We ground out the win," said Martin. "That's all that matters." | |
