Foresters Turn Back Cincinnati, 5-4
The Cleveland Foresters picked up a win at Forester Stadium, topping the Cincinnati Cannons, 5-4. On the mound for Cleveland was left-hander Rufus Barrell II. He played a principal role in the triumph. Cleveland now has a record of 8-5.

Had Hal Kennedy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kennedy hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Foresters.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Kennedy.
