The rain did not keep Cleveland and Toronto from finishing their game.

The Cleveland Foresters and starting pitcher Sibby Smith stifled the Toronto offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Forester Stadium. Cleveland has a record of 42-39, placing them 6th in the Continental Association.

Cleveland took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Hal Kennedy hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Foresters in front, 3-2.

"Sibby had good arm action, good stuff," said Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead.
