The Cincinnati Cannons extended their winning streak.

The Cincinnati Cannons used the hitting of left fielder Bill Barrett to subdue the Montreal Saints, 8-7. For the game, Barrett went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Red More earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Denny Cecil was credited with the save, his 2nd in 3 tries.

Wellsville, Missouri-born Dallas Berry came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Cannons trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Cincinnati on top.

"We've been playing some good baseball," Berry told the Cincinnati Times. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."

The Cannons sit in 4th place in the Continental Association with a record of 50-49.
