| Dynamos Mow Down Suns, 9-1 | The Detroit Dynamos defeated the Los Angeles Suns, 9-1, in Federal Association action at Thompson Field. Joe Reed pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win for the Dynamos lifted their record to 52-25.
With Detroit leading 6-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Reed batted against Los Angeles pitcher Doc Carver. Reed hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Dynamos on top, 9-1.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Reed told the Detroit Times.
