The Boston Minutemen beat the St. Louis Pioneers, 7-4. Boston pitcher and Bloomfield, New Jersey, native Max Edwards led the way. The Minutemen go to 42-52, putting them 6th in the Federal Association.

Joe Kleman hit a run-scoring triple off Coaker Vecchio in the top of the fifth, which put the Minutemen in front, 1-0. Kleman had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Boston skipper Harry Barrell. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
