Alex Vaughan picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Dan Atwater was tagged with the loss. The win gives Kansas City a record of 9-11.
Kansas City took the lead, 4-3, on Red Hinton's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off San Francisco pitcher Dan Atwater in the bottom of the eighth.
