The Boston Minutemen clipped the Minneapolis Millers, 4-2, in 10 innings at Hennepin County Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Otey Stevens. Boston now owns a record of 65-76.

Boston relied on the bat of Bill Tutwiler to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 3-2. For the game, Tutwiler had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Boston manager Bill Freeman applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
